Josh in person is quite different from his studio CD's. On the one hand, his singing is somewhat less technically perfect and there are times when he goes nasal. On the other hand, he is high energy and has great stage presence, so one gains something from seeing him live. He has a beautiful voice, but his zest for communing with and touching his fans is even more beautiful. Josh is almost religiously casual, with five o'clock shadow, shirt untucked, and awkwardness in attempting to dance -- accompanied by barefoot string soloists. He has an uncanny ability to project a boy-next-door persona, rather than celebrity.

The other performers are fabulous.

On this DVD, Lucia Micarelli plays two amazing solos. One, "Kashmir," a cover for a Led Zeppelin rock piece, is quite probably the most extraordinary violin performance ever recorded -- a performance in which music is changed, irrevocably, where the very nature of the instrument is transformed. If you have not seen this performance, you simply must. There is no other possible course of action.

The evolution of the DVD is starting from Josh's prior pop/classical crossover stuff, but going more toward a folk/rock/jazz type direction at the end. Josh's drum solo is not at all classical sounding.

Josh is clearly a person who loves all music and cultures and ultimately will likely visit all genres -- and bring back music to us from many more countries as he does from Ireland, Italy, and Africa here. Those of us addicted to his beautiful voice will be compelled to follow where he leads us, hoping his musical judgment remains as excellent as it has been so far. -- A fun, high energy performance

Good job! One suggestion: he could be well dressed. But this detail doesn't take the brightness of these great artist. -- A great voice!

I got this for my wife and she loved it, great gift for your wife/girlfriend, women adore this guy. Groban is a very talented singer and he shines in this concert (he's not a bad drummer either). The musicians playing with him are superb and the production of the video is excellent. This is better than being at the concert if you have a good HDTV and surround sound system. -- Awake Alive Josh Groban Concert (Blue Ray)

This Blu Ray Disc is the first one I have owned for our PS3...and I must say, what better way to start it out! This concert is amazing, and the people who saw it said they will get it also. Amazing! Stunning on Blu Ray! Sound, quality, entertainment, show....all Great! -- What more can be said!?
