I'd say I like and respect Metallica, but I don't LOVE them. But this CD is really haunting and beautiful. Really lovely with the minor chords and my baby sleeps like a... Oh, never mind. -- Lulling Even for Non-Fans

This is my favorite lullaby cd from their line. All the songs are perfectly toned down, of course, to a slower and more soothing musical beat, but fans can still reconize their favorite singles. The lullabys also have the words/lyrics omited so little ones will only hear the band's intruments. The CD is also perfect in portable road trip players. Perfect for any trendy rock family, and gender neutral! -- Rockabye baby Rocks!

Very relaxing! I find myself singing the tunes and then slowly drifting off as well. If you like Metallica, this is a must have for our future Metallifans. -- My baby loves it!

I never knew this CD existed until a few months ago when my friend's daughter-in-law had it on for her baby at bedtime. I heard songs I recognized but I couldn't quite place the music. When I finally realized what the songs were and asked "Is that Metallica?" I found out that it was indeed Metallica for babies. Arranged as lullabies, the music is so beautiful, and there are no vocals so if you are not a fan of heavy metal or Metallica, don't worry! It is all instrumental. I started putting this on my gift list for anyone who was having or who just had a baby. The music is very ethereal and melodic but if you know them, it is easy to recognize all the songs. Most recently I gave this CD along with Baby Beethoven, Baby Pachelbel (which both were on her registry) and some great books (including the book The Dog, also reviewed here) to my cousin at her baby shower. The thank you card I received ONLY talked about this Metallica CD, even though it was not even on her gift registry! She and her husband are fairly conservative, certainly not heavy metal fans at all and they both love it. She wrote that their now 5 week old baby loves it and is calmed by it. I love it so much, I will give it as a gift to anyone I know who is having a baby. I love Metallica but trust me, you don't have to in order to LOVE this CD. EXCELLENT! -- Metallica for babies? Absolutely! IT IS AWESOME!
