User Reviews about Where The Light Is:John Mayer Live In Los Angeles
I managed to catch this CD set on sale and I feel like I won the lottery. It is a MUST OWN for any John Mayer fan and a great starting point for anyone wanting to check him out. This is Mayer at his absolute best. I've seen him live a few times, but he was on FIRE during this show. While I love the acoustic set and the set with his hits, the JM3 set is where his talent truly shines (the 2005 recordings of the Trio songs pale in comparison). Please pick up this collection - you will NOT regret it. -- Captures the essence of a fantastic talent
This album is perfect for any John Mayer fan...it has a bunch of his best tracks but with amazing intros and solos! I just wish I would have bought the DVD also. -- Great Live Album!
This is my first John Mayer CD and it's great! I play it almost every day. -- I Love This CD!
John Mayer, simply put, is one of the greatest musicians of this era. A lot of people may disagree, but the amount of emotions that go into his songs is indisputable. John Mayer's guitar has a voice of its own; the guitar solo at the end of "Slow Dancing in a Burning Room" will make the most glorious of all tough guys miss their ex-girlfriends, and bring the rest of us to tears. John Mayer sounds amazing live, and in a lot of his songs, his live versions sound even better than the actual recordings. This CD is a great chance to hear what people mean by "John Mayer is one of the best performers." Another great thing about this CD is some of the dialogue that's put in with John Mayer and the audience at LA when this was recorded. You get a little glimpse into who he is, and that's great to hear. Highly recommend this album. It's great. -- One of the best recorded live performances i've ever listened to.
